A graduate of the School of Advanced Engineering Studies (HEI France), Barbara Lavernos joined the Group 30 years ago as a buyer, before taking leadership of the Rambouillet plant in 2000. In 2004, she was appointed General Purchasing Director for the Group, before expanding her horizon to commercial activities in 2011, as she took on the General Management of Travel Retail markets. In 2014, she joined L'Oréal’s Executive Committee as she became the Group’s Operations General Manager.

Since February 2021, Barbara took the helm of L’Oréal’s Research, Innovation, and Technology department, where she leads a team of 4,100 researchers and 1,900 IT and Tech experts worldwide. With this, she’s at the forefront of L’Oréal’s ambition to become the world champion of "Beauty Tech".
