Roman Shtylman is the Cofounder and CTO of Foxglove, the agentic data platform for Physical AI. Prior to founding Foxglove, Roman was among the first infrastructure engineers at Cruise where he helped build the company's first multi-modal data platform required to develop and operate autonomous vehicles at scale. Prior to that, he was the first engineer at Coinbase, where he helped build the company's digital currency exchange, and prior to that founded Courseoff, an online platform for building and sharing university course schedules.

Roman is a longtime open-source developer and maintainer whose work spans developer tooling, distributed systems, and data infrastructure. He studied computer science at the Georgia Institute of Technology, where he was involved in the RoboJackets robotics team, and currently resides with his family in Manhattan Beach, California.
