Brief Biography
Daryl Wooldridge is a Managing Director and Global Head of Intellectual Property (IP) for JPMorgan Chase & Co. In this role, he is responsible for setting the firm’s global IP strategy and managing its IP assets. This includes protecting JPMorgan Chase’s investments in innovation, encouraging continued innovation, and obtaining value from the IP assets. Additionally, he is the Innovation Lead for the Chicago Tech Center, a member of the Technology Leadership team, and a member of the Chicago Executive Committee.

Daryl joined the firm in 1995 and has held various roles in intellectual property, technology, mergers, consolidations, and finance. He started his intellectual property work in what the firm then-called Treasury Services and Investor Services, where he first combined his understanding of the firm’s technology and products with the need to protect the underlying intellectual property.

In past roles, Daryl led integration efforts for the Consumer and Community Banking operations functions, helped to consolidate retail branch operations, and served as a senior finance manager responsible for large corporate client profitability. He also served as a program manager in the firm’s 50,000-person global technology team.

Daryl is considered a thought leader in responsibly obtaining value from IP in financial services and has helped drive protection strategies in his industry. He has been recognized by leading industry publications as one of the ‘World’s Leading IP Strategists’. In addition to his work at JPMorgan Chase, Daryl also serves on the board of LOT Network and is active with the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life.
