Brief Biography
As chief information officer (CIO) for Booz Allen, Rebecca McHale is responsible for advancing the digital experience for firm users, empowering the business, and providing technology to advance operational effectiveness and delivery to clients. Prior to becoming the CIO, Rebecca served as the firm’s chief information security officer (CISO). In this role, she was responsible for overseeing the firm’s strategy for protecting its information and technology assets, to include advancing the firm’s programs for cyber risk governance, threat intelligence and analysis, vulnerability management, and incident response.

Rebecca previously worked in a variety of leadership roles delivering adaptive cybersecurity and information technology (IT) infrastructure services for government and commercial organizations. Before joining Booz Allen, Rebecca was the CISO for Blackboard Inc., a global educational technology and services company. She also held senior cybersecurity and IT infrastructure leadership roles at Novetta and CSRA, both internal to those organizations as well as directly onsite for clients. She enjoys developing and executing digital strategies to best enable the business mission while securely delivering technology and services.

Rebecca earned a BS in mathematics from the University of Mary Washington and an MS in discrete mathematics and computing applications from Royal Holloway, University of London.
