Brief Biography
Vincent Sitzmann is an Assistant Professor at MIT EECS, where he is leading the Scene Representation Group. He earned a PhD from Stanford University and was a postdoc at MIT CSAIL. Vincent’s research interest lies in neural scene representations - the way neural networks learn to represent information on our world. This work aims to allow independent agents to reason about our world given only a few visual observations, such as inferring a complete model of a scene, geometry, material, lighting – a task that is simple for humans but currently impossible for AI.
