Deep Nishar has more than 20 years of experience helping to build and grow successful software and internet businesses. Mr. Nishar currently serves as a Senior Managing Partner at SoftBank Investment Advisers (“SBIA”) and leads the Frontier Tech, Life Sciences, and Enterprise Software investing teams.

Prior to joining SBIA, Mr. Nishar served as the Senior Vice President of Products and User Experience at LinkedIn. Before LinkedIn, from 2003 to 2009, Mr. Nishar worked at Google, where he headed product strategy for the Asia Pacific region, led the company’s mobile initiatives, and built the systems used for managing Google's global customer base. Previously, Mr. Nishar was Founder and Vice President of products at enterprise software company Patkai Networks. In 2010, Mr. Nishar cofounded AngelPad, a mentorship program for entrepreneurs.

Mr. Nishar received a B. Tech with honors from the Indian Institute of Technology, a MSEE from University of Illinois, Urbana Champaign, and an MBA from Harvard Business School with honors (Baker Scholar). He has co-authored 14 US patents and was awarded the Google Founders Award, given to employees who have made extraordinary contributions to the company.
