Mayra Gamboa is a professor at the University of Guadalajara where she leads City Science Lab@Guadalajara. She has a PhD. in City, Territory, and Sustainability, and she has a master’s degree in Urban Planning from the University of California Los Angeles. She has been a consultant of the UN-Habitat office in Mexico and has worked in both public and private sectors on land regulations and urban design. Her research focuses on understanding the dynamics of informal growth and urban inequality, public spaces, and daily mobility.
