Maria Persson Gulda is Chief Technology Officer at H2 Green Steel. Maria has led the project from the start, from the idea of making green steel on a large scale, to where the company stands today. In her role as CTO, she is responsible for the plant design, including the production of green hydrogen, and the selection of the associated equipment and technology. Prior to joining H2GS, Maria was a partner at McKinsey and led digital transformations for the steel and paper industry. Maria is Doctor in Applied Physics from Harvard University. She wrote her dissertation on the topic of metallic structures and defects.
